Saturday night saw South African legend, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and some amazing top Ghanaian artistes prove again and again that African music is indeed the best at the Vodafone African Legends night.
The show which took place at the State Banquet Hall in Accra was filled to capacity as the audience was delightfully treated to authentic music from Ghana and South Africa.
Sat among the aundience were some high profile personalities such as the former first lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and the British High Commisioner, Jon Benjamin.
Headlined by South Africa's Yvonne Chaka Chaka, fondly referred to as the Princess of Africa, artistes such as Wiyaala, Nana Tuffour and Akosua Agyapong all took to the stage to perform some of their greatest hits to pave the way for Yvonne.
Wiyaala, a superb artiste who never disappoints always thrilled the audience with a classic energetic performance calling some of the audience to join her on stage. She was simply amazing.
Nana Yaa, daughter of highlife legend Pat Thomas and the queen of Neo-soul in Ghana also did not disappoint.
Eshun who has been steadily rising in the music ladder in Ghana with her impressive voice and songs served and justified herself yo the audience.
The atmosphere became more talent filled when Yvonne Chakachaka brought Becca who was seated among the audience to sing when she was performing 'You Make Me feel' with Eshun. Becca wasn't on the bill to perform but she gladly moved to the stage and sang her heart out.
